The Grand Ducal Palace, located in the heart of the old town, is the official residence of the Grand Ducal Family.

Built on the site of the former City Hall, whose origins date back to 1418, the building has undergone several transformations over the centuries. Rebuilt after the explosion of 1554, it was extended in the 18th century before becoming the Grand Ducal Palace in 1890. A major restoration project was carried out between 1992 and 1995.

We are delighted to invite you to discover the Grand Ducal Palace on a 75-minute guided tour. This unique experience opens the doors to the official residence of the Grand Ducal Family, allowing you to admire some of its most remarkable rooms, including the Grand Duke’s Office, the Dining Room and the Salon of the Kings, to name but a few.
