What is the Biergerpakt?

The Biergerpakt (Citizens’ Pact) is the programme for intercultural living together of the Luxembourg Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees.

It is open to any adult who resides or works in Luxembourg – including cross-border workers. Participation in all Biergerpakt activities is free of charge.

The aim of the Biergerpakt is to bring people together and/or help them discover Luxembourg, its customs, culture, traditions and to provide them with new information about the country.

Registration for the Biergerpakt is done via the myguichet.lu platform.

What does the Biergerpakt offer?

The Biergerpakt offer includes, among other things:

  • An Orientation Day
  • The opportunity to learn and practise languages through access to a language-learning platform and language cafés
  • A 6-hour course “Discover the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg”
  • Guided tours of cultural, political, social and historical institutions
  • Conferences and round-table discussions on intercultural and living together topics
  • Film and debate evenings
  • Training sessions in various fields
  • Creative workshops
  • … and much more! The Biergerpakt offer is continuously developing and will become even richer in the months and years to come.
