This guided tour of Esch-sur-Alzette aims to introduce visitors to the history of the capital of the Red Lands (Terres Rouges). For too long, Esch’s history has been reduced to that of the Minett, Luxembourg’s southernmost region, primarily associated with industry. Yet Esch is a city with a remarkable past that is just waiting to be discovered.
Focusing on the period around 1900, the tour offers an evocative journey back to the Belle Époque, guiding visitors through the city centre and the key landmarks of the surrounding districts.
