EUROPEAN ROUTE OF INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE AT THE CENTRE FOR DOCUMENTATION ON HUMAN MIGRATION (CDMH) IN DUDELANGE
This guided tour of the ‘Quartier Italie’ in Dudelange offers a true journey back in time. This neighbourhood is an iconic example of the built heritage linked to industrialisation and migration. Through its significant sites, shared stories and monuments, we will trace the thread of history whilst remaining rooted in the present, drawing connections between local dynamics and the history of migration in Luxembourg, from the Industrial Revolution to the present day.

Schedule for the day

10.00 am: Welcome at the CDMH followed by a guided tour of the Quartier Italie
Lunch break: a time for sharing and discussion (illustrations, portraits, audio and video reports) – bring your own sandwich, drinks provided
1.30–2.30 pm: collection of feedback, completion of illustrated portraits* and reports
*Your illustrated portraits will feature in the European Route of Industrial Heritage travel journal
Each participant will receive a free copy of the illustrated journal in which they contributed as soon as it is published in late 2026/2027.
