Best Practices in Integration and Migrant Engagement from the Maltese Civil Society
Over the past decade, Malta has experienced significant demographic changes linked to migration and economic growth. As a small EU Member State with an increasingly diverse population, the country has had to strengthen its approaches to integration and social cohesion.
This conference will explore how Maltese civil society organisations respond to the challenges and opportunities of migration, supporting inclusion, participation, and engagement within local communities. It will highlight practical examples of collaboration between civil society, public institutions, and people from diverse backgrounds, as well as efforts to overcome barriers to social inclusion
By looking at Malta’s experience, the conference will offer valuable insights for Luxembourg, which shares a similar reality as a small and highly diverse European country.

Speaker: William Grech, Executive Director of the Maltese NGO Kopin, has more than twenty years of experience in sustainable development, social inclusion, refugee support, and international cooperation. He is also a trainer, lecturer, and member of Malta’s Integration and Anti-Racism Consultative Council.

A light lunch will be served from 11.45. The conference begins at 12.15
Languages: EN, with FR and LU translations
