The “Wild West Weekend” is an annual tourist event that takes place each year in a different location within the canton of Réiden. The aim of this event is to showcase the diversity and attractiveness of the region, while offering both residents and visitors a comprehensive insight into what the canton has to offer.
The focus is on discovering the canton: visitors have the opportunity to get to know the region better and explore everything it has to offer.
The “Weekend vum Wëlle Westen” is aimed at a wide audience: residents of the canton of Réiden, visitors from all over Luxembourg, as well as guests from neighboring border regions. Families with children, in particular, benefit from a varied and entertaining program tailored specifically to their needs.
Another key aspect of the event is the platform it provides for local stakeholders. Associations have the opportunity to present themselves, showcase their activities, and potentially attract new members. At the same time, the event strengthens networking between the various tourism partners within the canton. The tourism sector can bring together its many partners in one place and jointly present what the region has to offer to a wider audience.
Furthermore, the event helps draw attention to the different towns and villages within the canton, while promoting other attractions, offers, and activities.
The “Weekend vum Wëlle Westen” is fully in line with the core objectives and values of the canton of Réiden. It makes a significant contribution to enhancing the region’s attractiveness and supports its economic, social, cultural, educational, and tourism development.
Overall, the event is much more than just a festival, it is a vibrant showcase of the region, a meeting place for people and ideas, and a strong symbol of cooperation, identity, and regional diversity. No registration required!
